Today I arrived in Viña del Mar!!! On my flight, I slept 4 hours during the night because the seats on the airplane are not the same as a bed. I was very tired but Chile was very welcoming when I arrived. There are so many trees and the land is all green even though it is Winter in Chile. When I arrived in Chile and we passed through security my friends and I took a bus from Santiago to Viña del Mar for 1.5 hours. On this bus ride we saw the capital, the country side, the vineyards, and our new home for the next 4 months.I will include a video of our trip from Santiago to Vina soon. When we arrived in Vina, we meet our families and my new mother, Marcela, and I drove to by new house. Their dog, Anika, greeted me with many kisses and the husband of Marcela, Jorge, greeted me with a hug and a kiss. We ate lunch at 2 pm and then their son, Felipe, drove me to a barbeque with his friends. I ate so much flavorful food during the afternoon today my stomach couldn’t eat any more. I think this is reason why Chileans eat dinner at 11 pm at night. Tomorrow I am going to take a tour of the city. I can’t wait to see the city! See you tomorrow!
